Workshop - From Coach to Coaching Business Owner :

How to start and build a coaching business: a practical step-by-step roadmap to becoming visible, sustainable and scalable

Friday, 18 September 2026, 2.00 PM (London)

Becoming a good coach and building a successful coaching business require two different skill sets.

Whether you are still completing your coaching training, newly qualified, transitioning from another career or already coaching but struggling to create consistent commercial traction, this free workshop will help you understand what needs to be built, how the different pieces fit together and what deserves your attention next.

ALL about this FREE WORKSHOP

You’re good at coaching. Building a business is a different skill.

Coach training develops your ability to work effectively with clients. What it rarely teaches in the same depth is how to build the commercial structure around that capability.

Who should you work with? Do you really need a niche? How do you turn your expertise into an offer people understand and are prepared to pay for? What should you charge? Where should you become visible? And how do you turn that visibility into conversations, clients and a more consistent pipeline?

From Coach to Coaching Business Owner brings those pieces together into one practical roadmap. Rather than giving you another collection of disconnected marketing tactics, we will look at the key components of a coaching business, the order in which they fit together and where you should focus your attention based on where your business is today.

What this workshop covers:

This training is for:

This workshop is for coaches who want to approach their coaching practice as a business, whether you are still completing your coach training, newly qualified, transitioning into coaching from another career, or already working with clients but struggling to create consistent commercial traction.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you attend. In fact, if you currently feel that there are too many things you could be doing and you are unsure what should come first, this workshop is particularly relevant.

What you'll leave with:

A clear roadmap for your coaching business — what needs to be built, where you are now, and what you need to focus on next.

The purpose of this workshop is not to give you another long list of things you should be doing. By the end of the session, you should understand how the different parts of a coaching business connect, be able to identify the gaps that may be holding yours back, and have greater clarity about the actions that deserve your attention first.

Here are some of the main questions I am being asked

Frequently asked questions

How do I start a coaching business?

A coaching business starts with more than becoming qualified or setting up a website. You need to understand the transformation you can create, who you are best placed to help, how to position that work, what you are going to offer and how you will reach and have conversations with potential clients.

The workshop takes you through these elements as part of the Grow Your VIBE™ Coaching Business Roadmap, helping you understand what needs to be built and what to prioritise first.

What do I need to start a coaching business?

Probably less than you think.

You do not need an elaborate website, a large social media following, complicated funnels or an extensive technology stack before you can start building your coaching business. You do need clarity around who you help, the problem or transformation you work with, a clear offer, an appropriate price and a practical way to become visible and start conversations with potential clients.

Do I need to choose a coaching niche before I start?

Not necessarily.

Being clear about who you can help and the problems you are particularly well placed to address is important. But forcing yourself into a narrow niche before you have enough experience or market insight can sometimes create more confusion rather than less.

In the workshop, we will look at positioning as part of the wider business roadmap and explore what needs to be clear before you worry about finding the perfect niche label.

How do I find clients for my coaching business?

Finding coaching clients rarely comes from one marketing tactic. It requires a connection between clear positioning, a relevant offer, appropriate visibility and enough conversations with the right people.

This is why the workshop looks beyond simply “marketing yourself”. We will explore how visibility, conversations, sales and pipeline connect, so that client acquisition becomes part of how you build the business rather than an activity you only think about when you need more clients.

Can I start building my coaching business before I finish my certification?

Yes. You do not need to wait until the day you receive your coaching qualification before you start thinking commercially.

There is a great deal you can begin developing alongside your coach training: understanding the market you want to work in, exploring who you are best placed to help, testing your positioning, building relevant relationships, becoming visible and learning how the business of coaching works.

What matters is being transparent about where you are in your professional coaching journey and making sure the services you offer appropriately reflect your current training and experience.

Is this workshop useful if I already have coaching clients?

Yes. The workshop is not only for people starting from zero.

If you already have clients but acquisition is inconsistent, your offer has evolved without a clear strategy, your visibility is not generating enough conversations, or you are unsure what you need to improve to make the business more sustainable, the Coaching Business Roadmap can help you identify where the gaps are.

About me, the host, Elena Bostan

I’m Elena Bostan, a Coaching Business Architect and founder of Grow Your VIBE™ programme, where I help coaches, executive coaches and consultants build visible, sustainable and scalable businesses.

I am a Chartered Marketer (MCIM), with an MBA from Henley Business School, a Master’s in Strategic Marketing and more than 20 years of marketing and commercial leadership experience. Before building Grow Your VIBE™, I developed brand strategies for multinational organisations, mapped customer journeys for engineering businesses, developed sales programmes for global automotive brands and led teams and growth initiatives across multiple industries and international markets.

I founded Grow Your VIBE™ in 2020 because I saw a gap between learning how to coach and learning how to build a commercially sustainable coaching business. Since then, I have worked with coaches, executive coaches and consultants on the positioning, offers, visibility, sales and business structures that allow their coaching expertise to reach the people it can help.

My philosophy is simple: coaching expertise is essential, but coaching expertise alone does not build a coaching business. Business-building is a discipline in its own right, and coaches deserve commercially grounded guidance that helps them develop that capability alongside their coaching.

Through Grow Your VIBE™, my articles, workshops and free resources, I share practical strategies designed to help coaches turn their expertise into businesses that are visible, sustainable and built for long-term growth.

Everything in the Grow Your VIBE free resource hub is built on that foundation — real marketing strategy, not recycled business advice.
